CryoPen® Cryotherapy
Starting from £65
  • CryoPen® treatment being performed to precisely remove a benign skin lesion using advanced cryotherapy technology.

    What is CryoPen® Cryotherapy?

CryoPen® is an advanced, medical-grade cryotherapy treatment that offers a fast, effective and minimally invasive way to remove a wide range of benign skin lesions. Using a precise jet of nitrous oxide, the device freezes unwanted tissue with exceptional accuracy, destroying the targeted cells while minimising damage to the surrounding healthy skin.

Suitable for many common benign skin lesions, CryoPen® provides an excellent alternative to more invasive removal methods, with no cutting, stitches or surgery required. Following treatment, the lesion gradually breaks down and naturally falls away as the skin heals, revealing smoother, healthier-looking skin with minimal downtime.

Every treatment begins with a personalised consultation, where Jenny will carefully assess your skin concern, confirm that CryoPen® is the most appropriate treatment for your lesion and create a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

  • Before and after CryoPen® cryotherapy showing successful removal of facial skin tags with minimal scarring.

    What Can CryoPen® Treat?

CryoPen® is suitable for treating a variety of benign skin lesions, including:

    • Skin tags
    • Age spots
    • Cherry angiomas
    • Seborrhoeic keratoses
    • Viral warts
    • Milia
    • Sun spots
    • Pigmented lesions (where clinically appropriate)
    • Other benign skin growths

During your consultation, Jenny will carefully assess your skin concern to ensure CryoPen® is the most suitable treatment. If there is any uncertainty about the nature of a lesion, treatment will not proceed until appropriate medical assessment has been obtained.

Frequently asked questions

Most CryoPen® treatments take 10–30 minutes, depending on the number, size and type of lesions being treated.

The treated lesion usually begins to change within a few days. Over the following 1–6 weeks, it will naturally dry, shrink or scab before falling away to reveal healthier-looking skin beneath. Healing times vary depending on the type and size of the lesion.

Many benign lesions can be successfully treated in a single session. However, larger or more stubborn lesions may require additional treatments to achieve the best result. Jenny will discuss this during your consultation.

CryoPen® requires very little downtime. You can usually return to normal daily activities immediately after treatment. The treated area may appear red, swollen or form a small blister or scab as part of the normal healing process.

Once successfully treated, most benign lesions do not return. However, some skin conditions, particularly viral warts, may occasionally recur or new lesions may develop elsewhere over time.
