What’s the difference between diode laser and IPL treatments?
The new-generation advanced diode laser hair removal system works on all hair colours and all skin tones which historically IPL has been unable to treat. IPL is ineffective at treating coarse, thick hairs, dark skin tone or pale hairs. And while it can treat a number of skin conditions, including excess hair, pigmentation, and capillaries, it does not treat them as well as a dedicated laser for the job, such as the diode laser, for hair removal.

What is Diode Laser Hair Removal?
Diode laser hair removal works by using a specific wavelength – 808nm – which can quickly and comfortably treat the majority of skin types. This type of laser hair removal is more permanent than other types of hair removal, e.g. IPL or Waxing.
How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
When the light energy of a laser is targeted at the root of the hair cell, the cell overheats and damages the root. It depends on the stage of growth that the hair is in, but it is probable that the hair will not regrow. This reaction is called photothermolysis.
Is Laser Hair Removal Safe?
We use the Infinity diode laser hair removal system manufactured by High Profile Technologies. The company has been manufacturing laser hair removal machines for 10 years and have given us extensive operational and safety training so we can deliver treatments safely as well as effectively.
Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent?
Everyone is different and people react differently to laser hair removal. Typically, most people still see a 75% reduction in hair growth two years after a full laser hair removal treatment course, and this can be improved with a single refresher treatment.

Is Laser Hair Removal Better Than Waxing?
Laser hair removal has many advantages over waxing. Firstly, it’s less painful and more comfortable, and the results are more permanent. And unlike waxing, you don’t have to wait for your hair to grow back in order to have another laser hair removal session.
What kind of hair can be removed?
You can have laser hair removal wherever there is hair on your body. If you are removing thicker and darker hairs, you will need fewer sessions to remove them permanently because they are better at absorbing the light energy.
How long will it be until I’ll be hair free?
It typically takes a course of six treatments for permanent hair reduction. Each treatment can take between five and 45 minutes depending on the area being treated. You will need to wait around six weeks between treatments to give your hair follicles the opportunity to recover enough to absorb the light energy.
How to Prepare for Laser Hair Removal
We’ll begin by asking you to come in for a consultation. We’ll example your skin and hair and do a patch test to help us determine how best to treat you. Please don’t shave the area before your patch test. After seeing how you react to the patch test, all being well, we will schedule your first treatment. Before each treatment, you will need to shave the area.
